Jim helped my parents sell their house in 2021 and the process went remarkably well. So, when we decided to sell ours in 2022, I knew who to call. Jim and Holli helped get our listing up quickly and easily and for a fair market price. Our story didn't go so smoothly - but it had NOTHING to do with the HUNT team. I wanted to say that first so no one reading this gets the wrong impression. Jim, Holli, Chris, and everyone else on the team are fabulous, helpful, and great at what they do. Everything with our sale started out well, but our buyer backed out at the last minute (and I mean the literal last minute - the day before closing). Then, the second buyer backed out. We were losing hope and beyond stressed. We had to move because of a new job out-of-state. But even when outside stressors were coming at us seemingly at every turn (including a BLIZZARD in December), I knew the HUNT team was doing everything they could. Finally, we found the right buyer. Third time's a charm, right? Holli made sure it really was the PERFECT buyer, going above and beyond to vet them for our sake so we didn't run into a catastrophic situation. It was a lot of stress, but things worked out in the end. This is the condensed/happy ending version, of course. I didn't necessarily need to share this whole story to let you know how wonderful the HUNT team is, but because our circumstances were so rare and crazy, I figured it was worth mentioning because they stuck by us til the end. We worked with Dalton Scalf (HUNT) on our first home purchase. He toured 8-9 homes with us all throughout Buffalo, sometimes with a few hours notice (thank you!). He pointed out defects, weird signs of water damage, and a bunch of other things we generally had no idea about. Since this was our first house, we were pretty anxious and asked a lot of questions and he explained details of the whole process multiple times for us. We felt so comfortable working with Dalton, he respected our budget, helped us navigate the current sellers market, and “hand-held” through everything else. Jim is a very honest and accessible real estate agent. For sellers he properly appraises properties and provides a punch list for sellers to use to ready their homes for sale. He also helps sellers to have the documents necessary for their attorney to enable a smooth transaction. For purchasers he helps them find lenders that will give them a pre approval for properties that are in their price range and that they will enjoy for years to come. As an attorney I have always enjoyed working with Jim and his clients. He is a professional who knows his business and whom I would highly recommend.
